How our guided tours work

We accommodate your riding adventure in a number of ways.
Full Packages include meals, guiding and accommodations in our lodge, campsites, or stay in Yurt. Plus access to all our facilities.
Full- or
Half-Day rates require at least 1-2 hours of guiding then you can purchase a map and go alone.
Basic Camping and Riding is no frills- just a campsite, water shower with picnic table, a short guided tour to familiarize you with the trails, and then you're on your own. Please call or e-mail ahead for reservations, ride times, and trail updates. And we'll gladly offer discounts for large groups of riders.
You can expect a moderate crowd with a wide variety of group rides and activities, and our sponsors always supply us with plenty of prizes and schwag! We do often limit enrollment to avoid overcrowding the trails and to help maintain the personal quality of your experience. Great music, fantastic food, swimming, and excellent small group rides are the cornerstones of each of our events. Back in June 1996, Gunnar Shogren of Dirt Rag Magazine was here and commented in his column that the trails here are just perfect for group mountain riding. So get some friends together and head up to Maine, come by yourself and join one of our groups, or pack up the family and enjoy the fun. We always aim to please!
On the major Holiday Weekends of Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, and Columbus Weekend we always have something happening! Often old friends returning and new groups joining. These weekends happen to be an excellent time to get acquainted with our kind of mountain bike vacation. Expect plenty of fun and guided group rides for all levels. And if you want to try your hand at other activities, there's plenty of great water around for canoeing, tubing, or swimming.
Accommodations

Our rustic, all-wood-heated
mountain lodge provides a large, inviting gathering space for everyone. The main living room is home to artsy objects, lots of overstuffed chairs and sofas, games, and lots of biking magazines.
When weather permits, we eat out on our
screened-in flagstone porch, and the
wood-fired cedar hot tub on the back deck never seems to stay empty for very long.
Accommodations at BCE are quite versatile. The
private guest quarters have double beds and a shared bath. Our
yurt is an airy, screened, bunkhouse which houses up to 10 adults comfortably. Our
campsites are private and fully equipped with wash stations, showers, and toilet.
